About the Role:
The OEM Solutions division at Caterpillar has experienced significant growth and is focused on collaborating with dealers and OEMs to deliver exceptional components, systems, and machinery for specialized applications. We are looking for an Engineering Team Leader to oversee our application engineers and drive our strategic growth initiatives. This pivotal role will involve close collaboration with various teams to ensure successful project execution and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering projects for OEM Solutions across machines, components, and services.
- Develop project Statements of Work (SOW) and engineering proposals for New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Manage engineering project portfolios, providing leadership and visibility on project status and cross-functional challenges.
- Conduct design reviews in collaboration with application lead engineers as part of the NPI programs.
- Deliver engineering updates and risk mitigation strategies during commercial NPI gateway reviews.
- Support OEM application lead engineers with technical information and maintenance of engineering configurations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including OEM Application Guides and Technical Data Sheets.
- Utilize Creo and Caterpillar Team Center for engineering designs and product support.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering is required.
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in Caterpillar's machine and component product lines, systems integration, and undercarriage products.
- Ability to conduct market research and define product strategies effectively.
- Strong understanding of Caterpillar's design, product development, and NPI processes.
- Experience in project management, including risk assessment and contingency planning.
- Capability to lead teams and manage project timelines and deliverables.
