Position Summary
The role of the Software Engineering Manager is pivotal in leading our Acceptance Team within the Cloud Commerce Products division. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced software engineer who excels in collaboration and communication with both Business and IT stakeholders across various organizational levels.
As a leader, you will inspire your team to think creatively and engage effectively with all levels of the organization. If you possess a passion for technology and a desire to tackle complex business challenges, this position is tailored for you.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Supervise and mentor multiple engineering teams to develop, enhance, and maintain a variety of applications and services.
- Guide teams on professional development, best practices, and methodologies such as Agile and Lean.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to translate product requirements into innovative designs and implementations.
- Oversee architectural implementations and design activities in partnership with other engineering teams.
- Ensure project timelines are met while proactively identifying and resolving emerging issues.
- Engage in product kickoff sessions and requirement workshops to steer domain-based solutions and resource needs.
- Recruit top talent, ensuring a continuous influx of skilled professionals.
- Enhance team performance through regular one-on-one meetings and career development discussions.
- Provide strategic leadership across a diverse range of applications and software development methodologies.
- Communicate regularly with leadership regarding risk assessments and design considerations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven IT experience managing small-scale development teams with a track record of cross-functional influence.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach, capable of working independently under pressure.
- Expertise in building applications using modern frameworks to enhance efficiency.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in documenting and coaching teams on development practices and coding standards.
- Knowledge of advanced design patterns to implement efficient code.
- Understanding of system architecture for effective capacity planning.
- Experience in orchestrating release workflows and applying standardized pipelines.
- Familiarity with security and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Domain knowledge in Banking, Financial Services, and Payments.
