Job Title: Software Engineer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II to join our team at Mastercard. As a key member of our Authentication Services team, you will play a critical role in driving our strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving for the Identity Solutions Services Management (ISSM) and Identity Solutions Services Test (ISST) applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to all parts of the software solution's development and maintenance, including design, development, documentation, deployment, and testing.
  • Adhere to Mastercard's standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Write high-quality, secure code that is modular, functional, and testable.
  • Broad understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required.
  • Knowledge of SQL and RDBMS concepts.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to accomplish tasks with guidance as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities and to work as a member of a matrix-based, diverse, and geographically distributed project team.
Qualifications:
  • Four-year degree in a related field, certifications, or comparable work experience.
  • Experience with at least one modern programming language, such as Java, Angular, or NodeJS.
  • Proficient communication skills with verbal and written English.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Additional preferred skills: experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Web Services, SQL, and/or Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and/or front-end development.
  • Experience with Git, and Jenkins.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Experience working with code coverage and health reporting tools, such as Sonar.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience, and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
