Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Hospice Aide to join our team at Disability Solutions. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide compassionate care to patients and their families during the end-of-life journey.

Estimated Salary: $48,000 - $65,000 per year

About the Position

In this role, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure that each patient receives the highest level of care. You will be responsible for giving or assisting patients with bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair treatments, nails, and skin care, as well as assisting patients with elimination, eating, and meal preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive personal care and assistance with health care needs for patients under a written Plan of Care.
  • Observe tracheostomy and report unusual findings to staff nurse.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to achieve effective exchange of verbal/nonverbal and written information.
  • Act as preceptor for new employees as part of orientation.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program that meets the standards established by the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as agency performance standards, required.

Experience: Two years of HHA experience under qualified supervision in a Medicare Certified program required.
