Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Chartwells K12. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Kitchen Staff: Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the activities of cooks and other kitchen associates to ensure efficient food production and service.
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes, ensuring proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
  • Inventory Management: Track food use, waste, and consumption to requisition or purchase product, and receive and inspect product and supplies for quality and quantity.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, and ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, production, and merchandising requirements.
  • Menu Development: Help select and develop recipes and menus to meet the needs of our customers.
Requirements:
  • Previous Experience: Previous chef experience and ServSafe certification are preferred but not required.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff.
  • Culinary Skills: Ability to prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes.
