Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computed Tomography Technologist Lead to join our team at UnityPoint Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the CT department, scheduling, supporting, and developing staff members, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare workers to provide medical imaging and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates rooms, schedules, and staffing to complement patient care needs and delegates patient care in an organized manner.
  • Accountable for staffing needs and work schedules, reviews and approves payroll.
  • Helps with staff education, in-services, and specialized skilled training programs.
  • Assists in the hiring and orientation program of newly hired staff.
  • Acts as manager when manager is absent, demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
Requirements
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of CT experience.
  • Holds Permit-to-Practice Radiology in the state of Iowa.
  • Certified and holds current registration with the A.R.R.T. as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Certified and holds current registration with the A.R.R.T. in CT.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • One year of supervisory experience in CT in the hospital environment or demonstrated leadership abilities of transitioning from peer to supervisory position.
