    • Leverage performance reporting tools to track and analyze key performance metrics.
    • Prepare regular reports for management and maintain clear communication channels to update appropriate staff on key achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Budget, Fundraising, and Development
    • Manage the department budget to ensure adequate resources are available to fulfill the department's goals and objectives.
    • Work with NCRC leadership to design and develop an appropriate staffing and organizational plan to support department activities.
    • Work with the development team to identify and leverage resources to support the department's goals and objectives.
    • Support departmental and organization-wide fundraising efforts to identify, assess, and secure funding opportunities from foundations and governments; oversee grants management and reporting related to the department's funding sources.
  • Team Management and Development
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for strategic planning purposes.
    • Provide management and oversight of direct report responsibilities to ensure performance expectations are clear and met.
    • Develop and maintain expertise in area of responsibility and apply that expertise to NCRC's context and needs.
    • Manage, mentor, and support team members who report to you.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, business administration, social work, community development, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in economic development, workforce development, financial literacy programs, or similar areas required.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, managing programs, and overseeing multi-faceted initiatives, preferably within the nonprofit or public sectors.
  • Significant experience with developing and implementing workforce development programs.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing strategies to enhance economic opportunity.
  • Experience creating partnerships and implementing initiatives aimed at improving workforce development, financial literacy, and self-sufficiency.
  • Experience representing organizations in public forums and promoting initiatives that foster community and economic development.
  • Experience managing budgets, overseeing grants management, and working with fundraising and development teams to secure funding.
  • Experience developing staffing and organizational plans that align with departmental goals.
  • Strong understanding of economic opportunity policy trends and issues, including experience advocating for policy changes that improve economic opportunities.
