At Armanino, we're committed to empowering our team members to take ownership of their careers and pursue challenges that align with their passions. As a Tax Director, Real Estate, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our tax practice and driving growth in the real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical reviews of engagement work papers, tax returns, and other complex tax documents for partnerships, individuals, and S and C-Corporations.
  • Provide consultation on business and personal transactions, including tax implications, consequences, and treatment.
  • Conduct high-level research on complex or emerging tax issues and prepare memorandums to support conclusions.
  • Effectively lead large and complex engagements for multiple clients, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional results.
  • Train and develop less experienced team members, focusing on engagement management responsibilities, budgeting, scheduling, and client relations.
  • Stay up-to-date with tax law changes and provide updates and training to the firm's tax practice members.
  • Develop responses to IRS and other regulatory and tax authorities audits, notices, and inquiries.
  • Build and solidify relationships with members of other business units within Armanino who serve similar clients.
  • Approach job responsibilities in an executive manner, taking ownership of responsibilities to position yourself for further advancement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Master's in Taxation preferred.
  • CPA license.
  • 7+ years of experience in public accounting in taxation or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in a managerial role involving clients and team members.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring talented individuals.
  • Technical proficiency in tax software applications.
