About the Role

MDT Institute is seeking a highly qualified Dental Assisting Instructor to join our team of dedicated educators. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of dental assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality education to students, ensuring they meet the competencies required for successful completion of the program.
  • Implement a range of teaching strategies to meet learner needs and support desired learning outcomes.
  • Employ evidence-based teaching practices to support student achievement and use technology effectively to enhance the teaching-learning process.
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and stakeholders, using oral, written, and electronic communication.
  • Provide opportunities for learners to develop critical thinking skills and ethical reasoning.
  • Foster the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective development of students.
  • Assess and evaluate learning in three Bloom taxonomies domains: cognitive, psychomotor, and affective.
  • Implement formative and summative assessment and evaluation strategies.
  • Enhance the teaching-learning process based on data.
  • Provide timely, constructive, and thoughtful feedback to learners.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in Dental Assisting.
  • Three (3) years of practical experience in dental assisting or a Dentist.
  • Current knowledge in dental assisting can be proven by professional development or experience within the last 2 years.
Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success

Possess strong communication skills, demonstrate professionalism and collaboration skills, and demonstrate detail-oriented and self-motivated behaviors. Possess interpersonal skills, such as caring, confidence, patience, integrity, and flexibility. Awareness of any applicable state requirements governing dental assisting programs.
