About the RoleThe Clinical Laboratory Scientist will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, blood bank, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology, and immunology. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all laboratory procedures are performed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, blood bank, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology, and immunology.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
- Document all laboratory procedures and results in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure that all laboratory procedures are performed accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.
- Assist in the training of new laboratory staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as chemical, physical, or biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology. You will also need to have ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification or equivalent, and a current and valid state Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
