Job Summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist, CLS to join our team at St. Francis Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory procedures, including waived, moderate, and highly complex tests. You will work closely with our team of dedicated professionals to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory procedures, including waived, moderate, and highly complex tests, using both manual and automated methods.
  • Ensure the accuracy of patient results prior to releasing or reporting.
  • Recognize age-specific differences in expected results for newborns to geriatrics.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all department and hospital policies and procedures related to safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and human resources.
Qualifications
  • ASCP certification, or equivalent, required within 1 year of employment.
  • One year hospital laboratory work experience preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a current and valid state Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
