We are seeking an experienced and skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide direct, comprehensive, and quality psychiatric treatment to adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and develop multidisciplinary treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
- Conduct comprehensive psychopharmacologic assessments and treatments, as well as diagnostic and risk evaluations.
- Supervise and coordinate the efforts of other team members, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and effective treatment outcomes.
- Develop and maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Three years of residency training in a recognized program in psychiatry.
- Two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in the field of psychiatry.
- Current and valid registration as a Physician under Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine.
- Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
- Experience working with patients with severe mental illness, trauma, and substance use disorders.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
