The Clinical Specialist is a key member of the nursing leadership team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, playing a vital role in shaping the delivery of high-quality patient care. This dynamic professional is responsible for influencing nurses, nursing support personnel, and the organization as a whole to support evidence-based practice (EBP) and ensure the achievement of quality and cost-effective patient and family outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with nursing leadership to develop and implement EBP initiatives that drive positive patient outcomes.
- Provide expert clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, promoting excellence in patient care and safety.
- Develop and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and standards of care that align with DFCI's mission and vision.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based solutions.
- Contribute to the development of educational programs and initiatives that promote ongoing competence among nursing staff.
- Master's degree in nursing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years recent experience as a nurse in oncology.
- Leadership and education experience required.
- Appropriate advanced practice nursing certification.
- Clinical expertise in oncology nursing.
- Ability to work as an effective member of an interprofessional team.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
