Job Summary

The Store Consultant at FedEx Office and Print Services is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs and provide solutions. This role requires a strong knowledge of the store's business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. The ideal candidate will be able to take orders, coordinate activities, provide pricing and product information, and recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs and provide solutions.
  • Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information.
  • Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items in insulation, inserting items into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels to parcels.
  • Set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer-supplied original media and documents.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store.
  • Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change.
  • Clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability.
  • Stay current on retail store merchandising materials and ensure proper display of all retail area product and signage.
  • Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste.
  • Complete required financial paperwork and may assist with financial reporting, including daily sales, close-outs, and bank deposits.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 6+ months of specialized experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment

The Store Consultant will work in a fast-paced retail environment, under substantial pressure, and will be required to stand during entire shifts, excluding meal and rest periods. The ideal candidate will be able to move and lift 55 pounds, bend/twist at the waist and knees, and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members.
