Maintenance Manager Job Description

Pactiv Evergreen is a leading manufacturer and distributor of fresh foodservice and food merchandising products and fresh beverage cartons in North America and certain international markets. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at our Turlock Carton Converting Facility in California.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance staff to ensure the facility's equipment and machinery are running efficiently and effectively. This includes managing preventative and predictive maintenance programs, improving equipment utilization, and reducing waste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of maintenance staff to achieve facility goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement effective preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Improve equipment utilization and reduce waste
  • Manage spare part inventories and maintenance shop
  • Oversee capital projects and equipment improvements
  • Ensure compliance with SQF System and good manufacturing practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing shop-floor environment
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts
  • Unlimited U.S. work eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership and people management experience
  • Preventive maintenance planning and equipment troubleshooting skills
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Machine safety inspections experience
Working Conditions and Environment

The Maintenance Manager will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. The ability to sit, stand, kneel, and squat for extended periods is required.
