Helps repair and maintain company’s machinery to keep production running. Help Maintenance Manager and Day Shift Maintenance Supervisor in everyday maintenance operations. Manage and coordinate work performed within the Maintenance Organization utilizing both SAP/EAM and hard copies of information. Organizes, prepares and implements planned and emergency maintenance work activities for the department. Generates and schedules maintenance work orders and tracks department objectives and generates reports and analysis. Assists the Maintenance Manager and Day Shift Maintenance Supervisor as required and interfaces with storeroom, purchasing, production department, operating personnel and maintenance craftsmen. The Working Maintenance Supervisor must possess the core values of Integrity, Quality, Passion, Accountability, Innovation and Community, as set forth by the DFA Board of Directors. 10pm to 7am, Mon-Fri - occasional weekend coverage (rotation with other staff members)Assist the Maintenance Manager as needed.Interfaces with Maintenance Manager to drive details of work orders and projects. Collects information and organizes, plans, schedules, and reviews it according to the processes and procedures.Correct Kronos errors by direct reports and monitor attendance points.Mentors maintenance mechanics by providing direction, guidance and training or progressive discipline as neededTrain and coach new hiresProvide training for new procedures and/or policiesComplete all preventative maintenance work orders within the allotted timeImprove maintenance productivity and reduce work order backlogs through planning work schedules and standards of work.Assist with everyday/ routine maintenance issues and repairsManage, follow up and complete items from pass down meetingsAssign daily jobs, PM’s, and work ordersMaintain, repair, and rebuild mechanical, electrical equipment and machineryAddress and distribute work orders for repairs and maintenanceTroubleshoot machinery/equipment and make needed repairsMonitor boiler, ammonia refrigeration and plant air systemsMake daily rounds and log in dataVerify daily plant utility chemical testing in complete Clean and sanitize tools to maintain in serviceable conditionCommunicate with the Purchasing Agent to ensure needed parts are ordered and proper inventories are in placeElectronically completes / verifies time and any materials removed from stock in SAPClean and maintain shop and work area up to 5S standardsChampions LSW, 5S and other Kaizen programsDrives department employees to complete Dairy U training within the allowable timeframeComplete required safety observations to improve the health and safety of all team membersMaintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issuesDedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arriveFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsExhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgmentAdhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformityAttend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)Responsible for monitoring and taking corrective actions when necessary for a critical control point as part of the plant HACCP planEnsure that all documentation is done correctly and turned in promptlyPerform periodic and annual performance reviews for assigned hourly employeesThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required
