Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Newly Weds Foods in Yorkville, IL. As a key member of our shipping and receiving department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Forklift Safely and Effectively: Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to load and unload vehicles and move ingredients around the warehouse.
  • Ensure Product Integrity: Verify that all products are properly coded and labeled to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Support Shipping and Receiving Operations: Assist in pulling orders, receiving and storing inventory, and completing shipping and receiving paperwork.
  • Contribute to Inventory Management: Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Provide Support to Supervisors: Fill in for supervisors as needed and provide support with special projects and tasks.
  • Maintain a Safe Working Environment: Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Skills: Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment, including forklifts and load move systems, and proficiency in basic math and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment

The Warehouse Operations Specialist will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to strong aromas, airborne dust particles, and machinery. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals.
