Warehouse Operations Specialist

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Operations Specialist in Morris, Illinois. This permanent full-time position involves operating a sit-down forklift and performing various warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in a warehouse and/or powered industrial truck environment. The position offers a competitive hourly pay rate, paid time off, and a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with a company match. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing duties within performance measurement guidelines and providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting

* Operate a sit-down forklift and other equipment as required

* Maintain accurate records and perform day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment

* Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems

* Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines and meet productivity standards

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred

* At least one year of experience in a warehouse and/or powered industrial truck environment

* Valid forklift operator's license certified

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

* Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time

* Ability to work using health and safety methods and be available to work on a flexible schedule
