Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular and Thoracic Care Unit team at John Muir Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a compassionate healing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients requiring cardiothoracic surgery, esophageal surgery, and cardiovascular interventional procedures.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patient responses.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting open communication and teamwork.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current California RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test certification.
  • NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2,000 hours of direct bedside care experience in a step-down or intermediate care unit within the last 3 years.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position working 12-hour night shifts. The pay range is $77.04 - $104.97 per hour, based on experience and licensure.
