Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Verification: Verify patient identity, address, and insurance information, and ensure accurate registration and benefit verification.
  • Co-pay Collection and Processing: Collect co-pays and outstanding self-pay balances, provide receipts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Clinical Support: Perform various clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting with EKG and blood collection.
  • Communication and Scheduling: Update patient records, schedule appointments, and communicate with clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate care.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information, adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance with departmental policies.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Successful completion of an approved Medical Assistant program, Medical Assistant and CPR certification, and at least 1 year of experience as a medical assistant.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. The ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is essential.
