Key Responsibilities
  • Teach classes as assigned, utilizing effective and research-based academic assessment strategies to monitor student progress and differentiate instruction.
  • Collect and analyze student data results consistently to identify areas of improvement and accelerate academic achievement.
  • Develop and implement targeted instructional strategies to ensure students are motivated, engaged, and challenged based on diverse learning styles.
  • Participate in IEP meetings as assigned, practicing identity-safe and culturally-relevant pedagogy to promote student success.
  • Provide regular constructive feedback to students, promoting achievement and academic growth.
  • Plan units, lessons, and formative assessments to ensure a cohesive and effective instructional program.
  • Compile and maintain accurate records, including attendance, behavior, and academic data.
  • Develop positive relationships with the school community, aligned with Focused Staffing's culture and values.
  • Contribute to the cultivation of strong and cohesive professional learning communities, enhancing instructional practices and student outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to enhance learning opportunities and promote student success.
  • Participate in site and network professional development, meetings, and events as assigned, staying current with best practices and research-based methods.
  • Serve on school leadership teams or committees as assigned, contributing to the development of effective instructional programs and school policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, with well-experienced teaching high school students.
  • Valid California Teaching Credential with English Learner Authorization, Teaching Certification, and employment eligibility, including fingerprints, tuberculosis, and/or other employment clearance.

  • Knowledge of instructional programs, methods, and practices that differentiate and accelerate student learning and achievement.
  • Leadership development practices and effective supervision.
  • California standards, curriculum frameworks, and current research-based practices and trends related to work scope.

Compensation

Pays up to $50 per hour.
