Clinical Support Specialist

Wood River Health está en búsqueda de varios Asistentes Médicos a tiempo completo para unirse a nuestros equipos de atención primaria y salud express en crecimiento. Los Asistentes Médicos brindan apoyo al proveedor en actividades de atención directa al paciente, como la toma de signos vitales, la administración de pruebas de detección, así como pruebas auditivas y visuales, asistencia en procedimientos, realización de pruebas de punto de atención y obtención de datos utilizando equipos como EKG. Además, los Asistentes Médicos facilitan el mantenimiento de un entorno limpio y seguro mediante actividades relacionadas con el entorno físico y el equipo utilizado. También pueden realizar funciones administrativas según se les asigne.

Las funciones esenciales del Asistente Médico incluyen, pero no se limitan a:
- Reunión matutina con el equipo.
- Preparar las salas de tratamiento para los exámenes de los pacientes, manteniendo las salas ordenadas y limpias.
- Guiar a los pacientes a las salas de examen y prepararlos para el proveedor.
- Registrar la historia médica de los pacientes, estadísticas vitales o información como resultados de pruebas en el EHR.
- Documentar información apropiada en el EHR; utilizando la verificación de 4 puntos, plantilla de Intake OV, completar todas las medidas rastreables.
- Responder a las solicitudes de los proveedores, priorizar y completar según se solicite.
- Comunicar verbalmente con el proveedor del paciente sobre su agenda.
- Asegurar orientación o ayuda del RN según sea necesario.
- Explicar procedimientos de tratamiento, medicamentos, dietas o instrucciones de los médicos a los pacientes.
- Limpieza y esterilización de instrumentos y disposición de suministros contaminados.
- Realizar tareas generales de oficina, como contestar teléfonos y completar formularios de seguros.
- Completar autorizaciones previas y autorizaciones de seguros.
- Mantener un seguimiento continuo y documentación apropiada de referencias.
- Revisar detalles y expectativas sobre referencias con los pacientes.
- Asistir a los pacientes en la resolución de problemas potenciales relacionados con su atención médica.
- Referir a pacientes y familias a servicios internos (por ejemplo, Gestión de Casos, Salud Conductual, Especialista en Recursos Comunitarios, WIC, personal médico y dental) o referencias comunitarias (por ejemplo, atención especializada en salud mental, tratamiento de abuso de sustancias, servicios sociales) que aborden efectivamente las necesidades del paciente.
- Realizar las evaluaciones de salud conductual y otras pruebas relacionadas con la edad según lo indicado clínicamente.
- Inventariar y solicitar suministros médicos, de laboratorio, de oficina o equipo.
- Asistir y participar activamente en capacitaciones y otras reuniones según se asigne.
- Mantener estricta confidencialidad en todos los asuntos.
- Operar dentro del alcance de la Ley de Portabilidad y Responsabilidad de Seguros de Salud para salvaguardar la privacidad de la información de salud protegida del paciente.
- Promover y apoyar la misión, visión y valores de WRHS.
- Adherirse a las políticas y procedimientos organizacionales.
- Cumplir con los estándares del Programa de Cumplimiento de WRHS.
- Realizar otras tareas según se asigne para satisfacer las necesidades del negocio.
EDUCACIÓN Y EXPERIENCIA:
- Diploma de escuela secundaria o equivalente.
- Finalización de un programa de grado asociado o certificación en asistencia médica, preferido.
- Experiencia en un entorno de atención médica, requerida.
- Experiencia trabajando en un centro de salud comunitario, preferido.
- Conocimiento del proceso de referencias y compañías de seguros, preferido.
- Conocimiento de terminología médica, preferido.
- Experiencia en Registro Electrónico de Salud, preferido.
- Capacidad para utilizar eficazmente MS Office Suite, Internet y correo electrónico.
- Sensibilidad cultural necesaria para trabajar con una población diversa de pacientes y personal.
LICENCIA Y CERTIFICACIÓN:
- Certificación de Asistente Médico, preferido.
- Certificación de RCP, requerida.
