Construction Administration Specialist in Landscape Architecture

About the Position:

SWA Group is seeking a skilled Construction Administration/ Site Observation/ Field Specialist in Landscape Architecture to join our team.

This role involves working with us to prepare construction drawings and documents, reviewing and redlining drawing sets, conducting materials research, writing technical specifications, and monitoring and reviewing projects under construction.

The ideal candidate will have a professional undergraduate or graduate degree in landscape architecture, architecture, planning, or urban design, and 2+ years of professional experience in a design office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing construction drawings and documents with a focus on technical details
  • Reviewing and redlining drawing sets
  • Conducting materials research
  • Writing technical specifications
  • Monitoring and reviewing projects under construction
  • Elevating the level of construction quality
  • Attending and leading meetings
  • Working with all levels of designers as part of the collaborative team

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and organization, strong communication skills, and the ability to take initiative and work independently.

Proficiency in AutoCAD 2014+ and Microsoft Office is required, and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, hand sketching, 3D modeling, and Revit or other BIM software is desirable.
