Job Description:LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Temporary Audit Manager to support a non-profit organization with their A-133 audit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both audit and accounting, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with Year-End A-133 Single Audit and Contract Audits.
- Document all relevant accounting processes throughout the year to ensure a timely submission of annual audit requirements.
- Provide annual schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation during audit review.
- Serve as audit lead and liaison with the auditing firm, responding to audit requests in a timely manner.
- Manage fiscal policies and internal controls.
- Understand previous year audits and identify areas of improvement for clean audit processing.
- Enter account receivables; track government reimbursable spenddown throughout the year to maximize grant spenddowns in proper categories.
- Run monthly audits of general ledger and trial balance to ensure that numbers are being entered consistently and accurately.
- Prepare Journal Entries, as needed, to ensure that information for audit tracking is captured in Financial Edge.
- Review Account Payable entries.
- Review Cash and Receivable entries.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred but not required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in audit and/or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of A-133 audit requirements.
- Proficiency in Financial Edge or similar accounting software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
$50.00 to $70.00 per hour
