Job Summary

The University of Sioux Falls seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the lead member of the Business Office team. As the Financial Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination of University financial records and budget management functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate University financial records and budget management functions
  • Manage daily operations of the Business Office
  • Support the annual budget process in cooperation with the VP for Business & Finance
  • Direct and/or complete the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
  • Direct the annual financial audit
  • Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies
  • Oversee endowment and scholarship accounting with the assistance of Business Office staff
Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
  • Five years or more of experience in mid-level finance or accounting position
  • Higher Education or non-profit experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant federal and state financial regulations
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
  • Experience with automated financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
