Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Colonial Park Golf Course. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our culinary operations, creating innovative menus, and ensuring exceptional food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs and preferences of our members and guests.
  • Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met and maintained.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and pricing.
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional service.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of kitchen staff and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to ensure seamless service and high-quality food offerings.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure that our culinary operations remain innovative and competitive.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume food service environment.
  • Proven track record of success in menu development, food cost control, and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work in a hot and humid environment, with frequent exposure to chemicals and cleaning supplies.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a golf course or country club setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, as well as local health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
