About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and product quality in our guest rooms, public spaces, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Daily Housekeeping Operations: Oversee the daily housekeeping operations to ensure that all guest rooms, public spaces, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Manage and motivate a team of housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
  • Monitor and Control Costs: Ensure that housekeeping operations are conducted in a cost-effective manner, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures: Collaborate with the Director of Housekeeping to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and product quality.
  • Conduct Room Inspections: Conduct regular room inspections to ensure that all guest rooms meet the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Recruit and Train Staff: Recruit, interview, and train new housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements
  • Previous Housekeeping Management Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a housekeeping management role in a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Union Experience: Experience working with unionized staff and knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
