Position Summary:

UF Health Central Florida, a distinguished and locally governed not-for-profit healthcare organization, is recognized as the most extensive provider of medical services in the region. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients across multiple counties through a range of facilities and services. We are actively seeking several full-time OB/GYN practitioners to join our team. These professionals will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, which includes conducting physical examinations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans tailored to a specific patient demographic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members, including pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff.
  • Review and follow up on incoming medical reports (e.g., lab results, imaging studies) promptly.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment protocols based on assessed medical conditions.
  • Refer patients to specialists and coordinate care as necessary.
  • Oversee the daily operations of specific medical programs or patient care units as required.
  • Direct and coordinate patient care activities among nursing and support staff.
  • Adhere to established departmental policies, quality improvement objectives, and safety standards.
  • Participate in health promotion, education, and prevention initiatives as appropriate.
  • Engage in peer review, quality assurance, and clinical meetings as requested.
  • Assist in updating clinical protocols and practices as needed.


Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must hold a valid medical license in accordance with state regulations and possess a minimum of four years of relevant experience. Completion of a residency program may fulfill the experience requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Board certification or eligibility in a relevant medical specialty; state licensure and federal DEA certification are preferred.
