  • ApTask is in search of a Senior Vice President of IT Operations.
  • This pivotal leadership role will oversee teams responsible for cloud services, unified communications, network services, data center operations, servers, storage platforms, service monitoring, and service desk operations.
  • This position reports directly to the CIO and collaborates closely with IT and InfoSec leaders, including enterprise architecture, information security, and application development, to design and implement the company's technology roadmap.
  • The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking technology leader capable of developing and executing an infrastructure strategy.
  • The Senior Vice President of IT Operations will be a key member of the IT senior leadership team, influencing investment and priority decisions, managing vendor contracts, and nurturing high-performing teams.
  • This role will provide vision and leadership to a remote team based anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish a comprehensive information technology roadmap and the company's technology infrastructure vision.
  • Develop and implement technology strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure alignment of technology resources with the organization's short- and long-term goals.
  • Participate in IT leadership to align technology initiatives with departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Proactively identify and address gaps, risks, and issues within the organization.
  • Mentor and lead a customer-centric team that delivers business value and is well-respected within the organization.
  • Ensure corporate infrastructure and services are secure, scalable, flexible, and compliant by collaborating with technology teams and InfoSec to implement a robust security plan.
  • Support engineering teams and lead technical support efforts for partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement new technologies that provide a competitive edge.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top talent across the IT Operations team.
  • Oversee system infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
  • Establish quality assurance, data protection, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Develop succession plans and personal development goals for the Infrastructure and Operations team.
  • Create and monitor high-level KPIs for IT Operations.
  • Assess technological performance through KPI monitoring and budget management.
  • Manage vendor relationships with all IT and Infrastructure suppliers.
  • Establish SLAs with technology partners and vendors.
  • Conduct acquisition integration and due diligence as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of dynamic IT Infrastructure leadership experience.
  • More than 7 years of experience building and managing strong IT teams.
  • Familiarity with CMMC, ITAR, and NIST standards.
  • This position requires access to technology and materials controlled by US export laws; candidates must be a "US Person" under these laws.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar leadership role.
  • Experience in the Aerospace/Defense sector is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience with cloud-based infrastructure, particularly AWS.
  • Familiarity with modern web development languages such as Python and JVM.
  • Knowledge of security and data protection best practices.
  • Understanding of budgeting and business planning processes.
