About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice, and high-acuity care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, under the guidance of a physician-approved plan of care.
  • Ensure the plan of care addresses all identified problems, or document the rationale for any omitted issues.
  • Supervise home health aides when the registered nurse is not actively involved in the case.
  • Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Current license to practice occupational therapy in the assigned state.
  • Graduate of an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc.
  • Eligible to take, or has successfully completed, the entry-level certification examination for occupational therapists developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc.
  • One year of related occupational therapy experience, or approval from regional clinical leaders, along with appropriate mentoring and/or residency program.
  • Current CPR certification.
