Position Overview:

The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role in collaborating with our Merchandising, Marketing, Design, and Sales teams. This position is essential in steering the organization through data-driven decision-making and financial assessments.

At Duluth Trading Company, we prioritize in-person interactions that enhance our culture of learning, creativity, and teamwork. You will be expected to work in the office from Monday to Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays if that suits you better.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate across various departments to meet profitability and sales objectives by analyzing daily sales, supplier funding, and supporting the development and implementation of new item pricing.
  • Oversee price increase analysis and create reporting metrics to evaluate different data related to company performance, identifying areas for improvement in inventory closeouts, pricing strategies, and supplier revenue and gross margin.
  • Manage brand pricing strategies, deal approvals, and pricing reporting functions; track outcomes and prepare recommendations, ROI analyses, and presentations.
  • Integrate insights from industry trends, market conditions, and competitive analysis with financial performance to evaluate product, pricing, and margin strategies, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze business metrics and data to uncover key insights, proactively identifying risks and opportunities along with forward-looking actions.
  • Monitor, report on, and manage the overall financial performance of various business lines and brands.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

~ Experience with P&L responsibility and financial planning within the consumer goods, retail, or wholesale sectors, or related experience with industry suppliers and wholesalers.

~ Proven knowledge of finance and accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.

~ Ability to analyze historical financial trends, forecast revenue and KPIs, and implement strategic initiatives to enhance business performance.

~ A minimum of 1 year of management experience, including mentoring and training team members, possibly in a team lead capacity.
