The Culinary Specialist at Andrus Children's Center plays a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious meals for both children and staff. This position requires maintaining cleanliness and organization in all food service areas and equipment, along with managing deliveries and various assigned tasks.
Work Schedule: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of meals
- Sanitizing kitchen spaces, utensils, and equipment
- Managing inventory
- Receiving and processing deliveries
- Ensuring proper food storage temperatures
- Serving meals with attention to portion control
- Collaborating on menu planning
- Contributing to the overall strategic objectives of the organization
- Upholding the core values and commitments of Andrus Children's Center
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License
- Servsafe Food Handling Certification
- At least two years of culinary experience in a comparable setting
- Proficient in using and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Capability to access and utilize the ADP application on a smartphone or other devices for organizational programs
