We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Richmond Community Services. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for preparing meals for individuals and staff in accordance with prescribed menus.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare all meals with specified consistencies for individuals and staff in accordance with prescribed menus.
- Exercise proper portion control during meal service to eliminate excessive waste products.
- Maintain proper food handling and storage techniques, including lifting food items of up to 30 lbs. and reaching to a level of up to 6 ft.
- Clean, sanitize, scrub, and scour all sinks and workstations.
- Perform Dietary Aide duties, including reading and following prescribed recipes for therapeutic and non-therapeutic diets.
- Responsible for checking and maintaining refrigerator log for all units in kitchen and on all floors, discarding all outdated food items daily.
- H.S. diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience in quantity food preparation in an institutional setting, preferably in a health care facility.
