Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Analyze patient assessment data to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring timely completion of databases and plans of care.
  • Clinical Expertise: Demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, prioritizing and organizing care for complex patients, and providing interventions based on patient status.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, adhering to the highest standards of practice, and effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Education and Support: Anticipate and proactively plan for educational needs, verifying with patients and families throughout the hospital or outpatient stay and prior to discharge.
  • Organizational Skills: Excel in organizational skills, adjusting to changes, and completing assignments on time, ensuring seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduated from an approved school of nursing.
  • Licensure: Valid VA RN license.
  • Certifications: Current CPR certification and Current BLS certificate.
  • Experience: Prior Orthopedic experience; Pediatric experience preferred.
