About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Geotechnical and Tunneling Team as an Associate Geotechnical Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in projects that drive innovation and growth in the industry.

Your Impact
  • Perform and coordinate field observation and special inspection of subsurface investigations in soils and rock.
  • Conduct geotechnical engineering design and analyses for bridges, buildings, tunnels, underground structures, and retaining walls under minimal supervision of senior engineers.
  • Prepare and draft geotechnical memoranda, data reports, and design reports.
  • Perform and coordinate field observation and special inspection of geotechnical construction.
  • Assist task leaders in preparation of reports and Contract Documents.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and project partners.
  • Assist to develop and coordinate geotechnical work in New England and other areas.
Who You Are

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geotechnical or Tunneling Engineering, or a closely-related field. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of geotechnical engineering and related disciplines.

You will be proficient in technical writing, office automation, and discipline-specific design software. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role. Ability to travel and perform field work is also required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Geotechnical or Tunneling Engineering.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Prior design and/or construction experience of highway, bridge, building, and underground projects.
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR).
  • Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.
  • A member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.
