Job Summary:
Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Resident to join our Emergency Department team. As a RN Resident, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and develop your clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in a comprehensive residency program that includes a core curriculum and individualized learning plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, working closely with a success coach to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Establish and prioritize patient care plans based on individual needs, patient preferences, and available resources.
- Respond promptly to patient safety risks and take corrective action to prevent harm.
- Seek guidance and support from experienced nurses and healthcare professionals when needed.
- Document patient care and treatment in electronic medical records.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand and walk for extended periods.
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of stress and irregular hours.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
