Job Summary

Morrison-Maierle is seeking a highly skilled Water / Wastewater Engineer to join our team as a Project Design Specialist. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and estimates for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities.
  • Utilize design software to create project designs, draft plans, drawings, and models according to project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers to complete project tasks from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide on-site support and observation to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Analyze facilities for system deficiencies and provide improvement alternatives to meet local, state, and federal standards and regulations.
  • Engage with community members, government officials, and other stakeholders to communicate project goals, address concerns, and gather input on water and wastewater initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of design experience in water and wastewater projects.
  • PE license preferred or able to obtain after-hire.
  • Design software experience in Civil 3D or similar.
  • Knowledge of engineering planning studies and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable record for travel.
