At South River Healthcare Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Medication Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing routine medication administration and personal care for our residents, ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medication administration procedures and be able to perform basic math functions. You will also be responsible for setting up and administering medication in accordance with physician's orders and state/federal regulations, as well as maintaining inventory of medications and preparing monthly medication records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and administer medication in accordance with physician's orders and state/federal regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of medications and prepare monthly medication records.
  • Provide personal care and treatment functions for residents.
  • Perform basic nursing care functions as required.
  • Assist with resident documentation and record-keeping.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or be eligible to enter such a program and graduate and pass a state test within 120 days from date of employment.
  • An understanding of medication administration procedures and successful completion of a state-approved training course.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
