Job Description

Overview:

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction process to ensure timely completion while meeting financial, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction goals. Key responsibilities include project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, cost management, safety, quality, and customer relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage home construction through all phases to deliver quality homes on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Develop and manage project budgets to eliminate repetitive mistakes and curb overages
  • Coordinate inspection schedules and interact with local inspectors
  • Maintain a safe worksite and enforce safety policies and regulations
  • Ensure the homebuilding site is clean, orderly, and visually appealing to customers
  • Build strong relationships with homebuyers/homeowners during construction, providing exceptional customer service
  • Conduct walk-throughs with homeowners/homebuyers, addressing questions throughout the homebuilding process
  • Lead new home orientations, ensuring satisfactory conditions at move-in
  • Manage post-close processes, including warranty requests and quality assurance

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of the construction process, including scheduling, cost control, and homebuilding phases
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office/Google Suite

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED required; a Bachelor's degree in Construction or related field is preferred

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and strong organization
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Technical Competence:

  • In-depth understanding of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards
