Construction Project Scheduler

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction and experience with Primavera P6. As a Construction Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing multiple schedules for medium to large construction projects. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage conceptual, bidding, and final project schedules from preliminary and ongoing project information for estimating, preconstruction, and operations departments use.
- Attend job site meetings, work closely with stakeholders, and contact/visit job sites to develop the project schedule.
- Develop standard and custom graphs and charts for site personnel to manage the project.
- Build and maintain a database of activity groups with as-built information for future use and reference.
- Prepare Time Impact Analysis for identified risks to schedule and budget.
- Perform additional assignments per management's direction.
- Provide support and guidance to ensure baseline schedule submission is timely, complete, accurate, and in compliance with company procedures and contract.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Civil Engineering preferred.
- 10+ years of heavy civil construction scheduler experience.
- Ability to interface and effectively communicate with others.
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Proven skill and ability to identify and mitigate scheduling issues for simple and complex construction projects.
- Proficient with the generation and maintenance of cost and resource loaded schedules.
- Ability to self-prioritize and self-start projects and task work.
- Ability to effectively multi-task similar activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Advanced verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Salary and Benefits:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $135,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and tuition reimbursement program.
