Key Responsibilities
  • Implement speech therapy programs using specialized techniques and equipment
  • Assist in developing personalized goals and objectives for clients
  • Provide feedback to supervisors regarding patient trials and recommend communication aids as necessary
  • Document client progress through detailed records and logs
  • Support staff through consultation, training, and collaborative activities
  • Maintain clinical proficiency in speech-language pathology practices
  • Identify and refer patient and family needs for additional services
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare personnel on treatment plans
  • Communicate regularly with clinical supervisors and lead speech-language pathologists
  • Execute speech and language programs as directed by licensed professionals
  • Monitor the use of alternative communication devices
Qualifications
  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited speech-language pathology assistant program with a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Licensure: Valid California State License to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience: Preferred one year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Skills: Proficient therapy skills aligned with accepted standards of practice and strong interpersonal abilities.
