About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Lead to join our team at Phoenix Defense. As a Quality Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our aerospace manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain quality procedures and processes to ensure compliance with customer and product requirements, AS9100 standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the Quality team and assist the Quality Manager in maintaining quality procedures.
  • Perform diversified inspections on aerospace parts, products, and assemblies to verify compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and customer documents.
  • Inspect product to verify correct color, finish, dimensions, hardness, density, or other measurable or observable characteristics of material.
  • Perform detailed first article inspections and may recommend, write, or modify sampling and inspections procedures.
  • Work with internal inspectors and operations personnel to ensure product manufactured meets customer requirements.
  • Support cross-functional teams in the execution and reporting of quality improvement projects.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience, preferably within CNC machining.
  • Able to interpret aerospace blueprints and GD&T blueprints.
  • Ability to operate a CMM and employ mechanical inspection/surface plate required.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 Audit Process.
  • Able to read and comprehend work documentation in the English language.
  • Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite applications).
