Executive Editor Role for Business and Practical Nonfiction Titles

We are seeking an experienced senior/executive editor to spearhead the acquisition and editing of business and practical nonfiction books.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate book projects and promising submissions, directly negotiating their acquisition
  • Edit style, structure, content, and line of acquired nonfiction titles to deliver high-quality, saleable books
  • Develop compelling pitches for the sales force to sell-in titles at major retailers
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the modern media landscape, specifically the business media sector
  • Nurture relationships with authors and influencers in the business world, targeting projects beyond agent submissions
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in media or a related field
