Surgical Oncologist

An oncology surgeon at Geisinger Health System focuses on the surgical management of malignant neoplasms (cancer). The surgeon establishes the diagnosis and provides preoperative, operative, and postoperative care to surgical patients, and is usually responsible for the comprehensive management of the trauma victim and the critically ill surgical patient.

• Our Geisinger Surgical Oncologist team is seeking a hardworking, energetic, and collaborative Surgical Oncologist who can work with peers and other multidisciplinary providers, advance practitioners, and specialty staff to advance patient access and patient satisfaction.
• Participate in the Breast Program, NAPBC Certified, GI Multidisciplinary Clinic, well-established Tumor Board and Cancer Committee, and participate in Clinical Trials.
• Perform lymphatic mapping and sentinel lymph node dissection, radiofrequency ablation for hepatic neoplasms, advanced laparoscopy training, surgical ultrasounds, breast ultrasounds and image-guided breast biopsy, transabdominal/intraoperative/laparoscopic abdominal ultrasounds, Cyberknife clinical training, microwave ablation of hepatic tumor, laparoscopic ablation of hepatic tumor, hepatic ultrasound - open and laparoscopic, and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy.

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)
• Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
• Patient Care And Procedural Skills, Professional Etiquette, Systems-Based Practice
