Surgical Oncologist

An oncology surgeon at Geisinger Health System focuses on the surgical management of malignant neoplasms (cancer). The surgeon establishes the diagnosis and provides preoperative, operative, and postoperative care to surgical patients, and is usually responsible for the comprehensive management of the trauma victim and the critically ill surgical patient.

• Our Geisinger Surgical Oncologist team is seeking a hardworking, energetic, and collaborative Surgical Oncologist who can advance practitioners, specialty staff, and other multidisciplinary providers.
• Participate in Clinical Trials and contribute to the development of new treatments and therapies.
• Work collaboratively with peers and other multidisciplinary providers to advance patient care and satisfaction.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with cancer, including breast and GI multidisciplinary clinic patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with cancer.

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
• Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Surgical Oncology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
