Surgical Oncologist

An oncology surgeon at Geisinger Health System focuses on the surgical management of malignant neoplasms (cancer). The surgeon establishes the diagnosis and provides preoperative, operative, and postoperative care to surgical patients, and is usually responsible for the comprehensive management of the trauma victim and the critically ill surgical patient.

• Our Geisinger Surgical Oncologist team is seeking a hardworking, energetic, and collaborative Surgical Oncologist that is board eligible/board certified, with excellent communication skills, a focus on patient access and patient satisfaction.
• 100% clinical position with the ability to teach residents and medical students.
• Shared call.
• Multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of solid tumors.
• Lymphatic mapping and sentinel lymph node dissection.
• Radiofrequency ablation for hepatic neoplasms.
• Advanced laparoscopy training.
• Surgical ultrasounds.
• Breast ultrasounds and image-guided breast biopsy.
• Transabdominal/intraoperative/laparoscopic abdominal ultrasounds.
• Cyberknife clinical training.
• Microwave ablation of hepatic tumor.
• Laparoscopic ablation of hepatic tumor.
• Hepatic ultrasound - open and laparoscopic.
• Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy.

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Certification(s) and License(s): Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania.
• Patient Care And Procedural Skills, Professional Etiquette, Systems-Based Practice.
