About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Manager to join our team at Microsoft Corporation. As a key member of our Customer Communications team, you will play a critical role in bringing the stories of our top commercial customers to life, showcasing the power and possibility of Microsoft's technology in their organizations and for their customers, employees, and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement winning PR plans, strategies, and programs to drive partnership stories with our top commercial customers.
  • Create and drive compelling partnership announcements that break through with business, tech, and industry media, leveraging owned, earned, and social channels.
  • Collaborate with global colleagues to extend customer stories to our markets around the world, amplify local/regional stories at the global level, and gain deeper insight into the global customer story pipeline.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to tell customer stories that align with industry trends, fuel commercial customer references into media trend stories, and demonstrate the impact of Microsoft technologies through customer voices.
  • Work closely with sales, engineering, marketing, communications, and legal teams across the company as a trusted partner and advisor.
  • Manage and develop spokespeople, including senior executives, and build relationships with our most strategic customers to establish and execute long-term communications plans.
  • Lead and guide external agency teams, including media research and engagement, measurement, and reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field, and 2+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related field.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Additional or preferred qualifications include 4+ years of experience in Communications or Public Relations, 2+ years of working in technology experience, and a customer-centric, highly entrepreneurial, energetic, and self-motivated individual with collaboration and communication skills, ability to be nimble and flexible, and adaptable to changing customer dynamics.

We offer a competitive salary range of $83,400 - $167,800 per year, with a different range applicable to specific work locations, and a range of benefits and other compensation.
