Overview

Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to provide a comfortable and less stressful experience for every individual. Our comprehensive range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity care, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements patient care plans based on evidence-based practice and nutritional needs assessments.
  • Interprets and evaluates current research related to nutritional care, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Counsels individuals and families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, and food selection, adapting plans to meet individual needs.
  • Communicates nutritional care data through all record systems, ensuring clear and concise information.
  • Participates in health team meetings, serving as the expert on nutritional care and promoting communication between departments.
  • Provides nutrition education to hospital personnel and the community, promoting patient advocacy and care.

Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's Degree, Registered as a Dietitian (RD) by Commission on Dietetic Registration, and current license as Medical Nutrition Therapist in Nebraska.
