This position requires a deep understanding of process technology and the ability to manage various projects aimed at enhancing INEOS performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with INEOS Pigments' 20 principles of process and Behavioral Safety, along with Life Saving Rules.
  • Lead and facilitate multiple initiatives to enhance operational performance by conducting laboratory, pilot, and full-scale trials.
  • Design, assess, and implement modifications to plant equipment and processes to meet safety, environmental, production, reliability, quality, and cost targets.
  • Prepare and present justifications for projects effectively.
  • Utilize a foundational understanding of maintenance practices to aid in troubleshooting and enhancing equipment performance and reliability.
  • Conduct complex calculations and apply industry standards independently and accurately.
  • Employ industry and corporate standards to design and engineer solutions effectively.
  • Support INEOS colleagues with plant operations and trial execution, including leading trials.
  • Review vendor documentation for compliance with specifications and data sheet requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity and functionality by applying statistical methods in accordance with Six Sigma Black Belt principles.
  • Communicate effectively and prepare presentations on emerging technologies based on technical reports related to projects.
  • Understand and align with safety and environmental objectives for the plant and department.
  • Promote a robust safety culture that emphasizes adherence to INEOS Pigments Safety and Behavioral Principles.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams and contribute to HAZOP & PHA reviews.
  • Develop Process Data Sheets and Specifications.
  • Collaborate with various functional teams, including Safety, Maintenance, Reliability, Project Engineering, Process Controls, Process Safety, and Technology & Innovation.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • A minimum of seven to ten years of proven engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in process development.
  • Experience managing projects with multidisciplinary teams across multiple plant locations.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in decision-making tools and data analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP, Excel, and Minitab.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule and lift up to 50 lbs during trials and laboratory work.

Demonstrated ability to lead comprehensive process design initiatives, including the evaluation and design of new and existing chemical processes.

Familiarity with statistical design and evaluation methodologies.

Capability to utilize analytical processes for appraising situations, developing plans, making decisions, generating innovative solutions, and troubleshooting operational challenges.

Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately 25% of the time.

Work Schedule:

This is a salaried, exempt position with standard working hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
