We specialize in comprehensive material collection, processing, and sales, customizing our services to meet the distinct needs of our clients and communities, while actively contributing to the advancement of the solid waste and recycling industry. Our operations span over 20 municipalities and 50 jurisdictions, with highly regulated facilities across more than 10 locations and a workforce exceeding 1,000 employees.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Foreman to oversee operations at one or more facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring that daily activities align with management directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with management expectations.
  • Allocate daily tasks to team members effectively.
  • Operate heavy machinery and ensure compliance with company policies among team members.
  • Conduct inspections on facility machinery, including heavy equipment and processing plants.
  • Perform safety checks and administrative tasks as required.
  • Reassign personnel and tasks as necessary.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues on plant machinery and guide the team in repairs.
  • Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring cleanliness and functionality of work areas.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and support talent development for career progression.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures.
  • Encourage a culture of safety and teamwork among staff.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others.
  • Capability to comprehend and execute both written and verbal instructions.

Requirements:

  • Must successfully complete annual Operator Evaluations and safety training provided by GreenWaste.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in English and/or Spanish is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to handle materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Requires physical activities such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, and crawling.
  • Must be able to navigate stairs and/or ladders to access equipment.
  • Job may involve walking, sitting, standing, climbing, balancing, reaching, stooping, or kneeling.

Work Environment:

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Employees may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and will need to adapt to frequent changes in equipment, service locations, and operational requirements.
